Description
Vanir is one of the latest furniture fabrics designed by Raf Simons in collaboration with Kvadrat. This is a felted wool textile inspired by traditional military jackets. The inspiration is taken from fashion. Fashion textiles vertalen to a furniture fabric is typical of Raf Simons' working method.
Vanir is made with bouclé yarns using a demanding technique. Despite the very densely woven and felted structure, clear speckles of different colors can be seen. The surface is shaved and therefore not only smooth, but also plush, resulting in a very elegant furniture fabric.
The color palette is based on earthy basic tones, reminiscent of classic tweed fabrics that are combined with fresh shades in surprising combinations.
Vanir is woven from wool with a pinch of nylon. This makes the fabric durable and lightfast in combination with the natural flame retardant propertiesaracharacteristics of wool. This beautiful warm-colored furniture fabric comes in 18 colors.
