This collection is a high quality furniture fabric produced by GU - Gudbrandsdalens Uldvarefabrik. This collection has a composition of 75% wool and 25% viscose.
Christiane Müller vond na een knap staaltje speurwerk in 2012 een stofmonster in het archief van GU. Het verhaal gaat nog een stukje verder de geschiedenis in, want deze stoffen staal was afkomstig van een jas uit 1959. De stof werd vervolgens vertaald naar een duurzame stof geschikt voor meubels met een structuur en kleurenpallet die mee gaan in de moderne tijd.
The secret of this structure lies in a technique in which the weaving yarns are twisted together. This makes the structure a special patroon that gives furniture a unique look.
The high proportion of wool ensures that the fabric has a natural fire retardant and is very durable.
