Osino is a coarsely woven furniture fabric that appears to consist of two layers. This is because certain yarns are woven thicker and higher on the surface, causing the thinner, more subtle yarns to disappear into the background and appear to form an underlayer, as it were.

Just like many other fabrics De Ploeg Osino has the OEKO-TEX quality mark, which indicates that this fabric has been produced in a sustainable manner.
