Description
Filum fabrics fall under the Purus collection. This is a collection that brings together 9 variants of furniture fabrics Clarke & Clarke. The collections are characterized by fine weave patterns with mixed yarns in timeless fresh colors. All 9 Purus variants are fireproof and have a good score for wear resistance. In addition, Purus fabrics are finished with Aquaclean, which makes stains easy to clean with water and a cloth and is therefore very easy to maintain.
This also makes all fabrics very suitable for upholstering furniture, curtains and decorative applications. This applies both within the project industry and at home. The differences are small and are mainly due to the weaving methodtroon, the colors, wear resistance score and materials.
Filum, together with Pianura and Felpa, scores the lowest score on wear resistance (40.000 Martindale) compared to the other Purus collections. But still, a good score for daily use and smaller surfaces with solid upholstery.
The color palette is also very similar to Pianura and Rebano, but has fewer shades. ColorstaleOne made of stone with natural sea green tones is the right place for this.
The weavertroon is sturdier and the color contrasts within the yarns are less hard, giving this fabric a retained karakter gives.
Ultimately, Filum does not have the highest percentage of polyester, but it does have the highest percentage of modified acrylic fibers, which means that this fabric still scores high on artificial yarns.
