Description
Aristide's Galucha collection is part of our eco-leather range. Galucha means leather made from the skin of sharks or lobsters. It became popular in Europe thanks to Jean-Claude Galluchat, a master leatherworker at the court of Louis XV in France. Fortunately, these furniture fabrics do not contain shark, lobster or other animal tissue.
The surface consists mainly of plastic with a cotton backing. This makes the fabric extremely durable (90,000 Martindale). Galucha is also fire-retardant, water-repellent, stain-resistant, extremely strong and easy to maintain. The fabric can be easily cleaned with a brush, water, neutral soap and clean water.
The fabrics are available in 13 dark autumn colors and also have a very good price-quality ratio!
